While Cholesterol may not seem directly related to osteoporosis, many need to know how vital it is and to learn the truth about it, so they can find the healing they need to continue to build new bone tissue. For that reason, I am posting this today from my “To Your Health” blog site.
Some still remain quite ignorant and/or confused about fat and cholesterol. I know many have concerns, and it is important to understand that you NEED both fat and cholesterol.
- The brain is made up of about 90% fat, of which approximately 65% is cholesterol. If you have neural conditions, it could be that you don’t get enough fat.
- Cholesterol helps to build the structure of cell membranes.
- Cholesterol makes estrogen, testosterone, adrenal, and other hormones. Without adequate cholesterol, you cannot make hormones. That includes vitamin D.
- You cannot produce or properly distribute hormones without cholesterol.
- Dietary cholesterol does not cause heart disease, and no credible study has proven it to be a cause.
- Dietary cholesterol does not clog or harden your arteries.
- It helps your metabolism work efficiently. For example, cholesterol is essential for your body to produce vitamin D. If you have trouble producing or getting enough, this might be a reason.
- It aids in digestion as it is needed to produce bile acids, which help the body digest fat and absorb important nutrients.
- There is NO “bad” cholesterol.
- Some cholesterol can protect against heart disease.
- Low Magnesium is what causes the hardening of the arteries. That and calcium cause hardening of the arteries, not cholesterol.
- Your body cannot function without it.
- Cholesterol is a healing agent in the body, repairing blood vessels and more.
- The USDA changed its guidelines in 2015 to say “Cholesterol should be of less concern.”
- High cholesterol protects against infection. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
If you do not have enough cholesterol, your health and the health of your bones will suffer. It is time to stop being afraid of fat, even saturated fats, and cholesterol. If you have not learned yet – the world, our doctors, and our government agencies were all fooled by “The Lie” told by Big Sugar back in the 60s and 70s that led all those just mentioned to tell us fat was bad. It is not – and you need fat and cholesterol. Stop believing the lies of Big Sugar, Big Pharma, and Big Money if you want to find optimal health. Fat is NOT the enemy, NOR is cholesterol!
Below you will see many articles, books, and studies, and some from a few of the top physicians in the world and top cardiologists who state plainly that fat and cholesterol are not what you’ve been told as being the cause of heart disease.

This is just a partial list, but in itself is staggering to see how many sources and studies refute the previous thinking that Big Sugar convinced everyone of, as to the ill effects of cholesterol. It’s time we pulled our heads out of the sand and understand that we need cholesterol, despite what doctors have to say, who are themselves ignorant of the need and benefits of cholesterol. While some “may” disagree, I believe if every article listed above was read, there would be no doubt that what we’ve been told was a “lie” that should be considered just that – A LIE!
